Are you a special vessel, ready for the Master’s use? I know everyone’s readiness is not the same. According to which family you were born, it may be different. For some, you were born into a believing family; so your parents and their parents have already trained you as a special vessel. For you, pardon me while I talk to the lambs of faith and ministry.

For others, God may be leading and urging you to come out from among them. For He has said, “Be holy as I am holy.” Or you’ve begun to feel a dissatisfaction with certain things you’re watching or doing, that didn’t used to bother you. The divine dissatisfaction may be a sign, it’s time to change. Father God is calling you to a higher level; it may even be a ministry call on the other side of your obedience to this leading. I’m not condemining anyone. I’m simply reaching for those who God has called…

Many years ago, Varn and I were sold out Christians desiring to please the Lord more and more. We have always been movie buffs, even before we met and married. Then when we got together, it was the same. We started collecting movies. It was during the VHS days; so Blockbuster was huge then. I know some of you will understand where I’m going with this because God has led you or leading you the same way.

We noticed that most of the rated R movies really grieved our spirit. You know like you needed a bath spiritually after watching. So we decided that we would not collect rated R movies and stopped watching them. For we wanted nothing to block us or defer the presence of God in our home and life.

OUR LIVES CHANGED
Directly, after that decision the Holy Spirit showed us that was exactly what He had been urging and wooing us to do. Not only that, by closing the door on this uncleaness, it would change our lives and make us ready for the Master’s use. The scripture he gave us to confirm it was, 2 Timothy chapter 2:20 and especially 21, “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.”

So, don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to throw a blanket over everyone and cover you with the law again. But I am trying to say, “If God has called you as a special vessel and wants to make you ready for the Master’s use, begin to pay attention to those small promptings. Act on them; obey them, it just may be the Spirit of the Lord preparing you for the good work he has planned.

WHAT GOOD WORK?
What good work, you might be asking? Father God may have shown you already or you may be like we were. We had only an inkling of the ministry and work that God had planned for us before the beginning of time. We knew nothing of Nasa Ministries, our book ministry or the church we are planting.

It’s God way, he leads us step by step, level to level and glory to glory.

We must take the first step then the next and He shows a few more steps and work. We walk them out by faith; then He graduates us to another level. We trust Him further and He promotes us.

Which is exactly how it went for us. After that decision, Father God has taken us on a journey, no one thought possible for the late bloomers that we were.

I’M GOD ALL BY MYSELF!
An authority even told Varn many many years ago, if he had been called to preach, he would’ve known it already. No disrespect intended, that counsel was wrong. On my side, it was wrong counsel that told me I would never be called because of a divorce in my past.

“I’m God all by myself! Watch what I’ll do. Now go do the ministry I’ve called you to do, says the Lord.” The man of God, our Pastor declared over our lives.

He did call us. And He’s calling you. He readied us and equipped us. He will do the same for you.

Step by step, God has led us into our call and destiny. If we listened to man only and not followed God’s leading as special vessels, two of the dishes for noble use, I would not be writing to you today. Through sanctification, we are set apart for special, holy use special vessels. I say are because it’s not a one time decision. It’s a daily decision to be holy as God is holy. It’s a daily taking up our cross through the power of Christ and living holy. Who knows the special, wonderful work God has planned for you on the other side of your decision.

MY CHARGE TO YOU
So, I charge you; be holy as God is holy. Make the decision to cleanse your life. Then Father God will take you serious and make you a vessel of houor, sanctify you; make you useful and ready for the Master use.
