And the LORD turned the captivity of Job and restored, when he prayed for his friends: also, the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. -Job 12:10
The Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Then came there unto him all his brethren and all his sisters, and they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
So, the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters.
The LORD Blesses Job
…14He named his first daughter Jemimah, his second Keziah, and his third Keren-happuch. 15 No women as beautiful as Job’s daughters could be found in all the land, and their father granted them an inheritance among their brothers. 16After this, Job lived 140 years and saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.…
…16After this, Job lived 140 years and saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. 17And so Job died, old and full of years.
REVIEW
We launched the ‘Year of Recompense’ teaching a few weeks back. So, we are on the journey to receiving more and more of God’s Glorious Recompense. As we seek to expand our thinking and believing to raise our expectancy level and enlarge our capacity to receive. The previous teachings on Recompense would be worth listening to or simply reading the blogs as your preparation.
We start with the first one on the list of levels or layers of RECOMPENSE God wants to deliver to his people, stretching throughout the whole year. No worries, it will be fun and uplifting to examine each word of focus for the month. This month is RESTORE. You can download the WORD of the Year short Workbook to document your prayers by faith (answered prayers).
Have you heard the phrase ‘exceedingly abundantly above what you ask, imagine or think?’ The Ephesian writer uses it to describe what God can do compared to what we can come up with, in any given circumstance. We’ve discussed this before in our studies. I noticed our God uses this expansive, progressive language at other times throughout the Bible. The Holy Spirit always meets us where we are in faith but then says like the Target slogan in all their stores ‘Expect More.’
He told Abraham, ‘I am your exceedingly great reward.’ Again, in the book of Luke he says, “Give and it shall be given unto you, pressed down shaken together, running over will men give unto your bosom..” Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. –Ephesians 3:20,21

God’s Recompense that RESTOREs Better Than Before
Because God is the way he is with wanting to generously bless us with Recompense and/or Payback through RESTORE this month. He is a God that restores better than before. Let’s release our faith together. Whatsoever two or more touch and agree on our Father in heaven will grant it. Bible writer Matthew in chapter 18 and verse 19: Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. To help us remember, here’s part 1 of the encouragement today.
Restore – bring back to former state or condition. The Prophet Joel proclaimed, “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust… Joel 2:25
Elevate – Opportunity to be elevated this month. He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and on them he has set the world. -1 Samuel 2:28
Story. What will your story of restoration be this month? Begin by writing down what you want. Dump it all out on paper no matter how impossible it sounds. Be focused no more than three things each month.
Time. Maybe yours is the restoration of lost time or stolen time. God is faithful to somehow redeem the time for you. Teach us to number our days aright.
Open Doors. God has a reputation of opening doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Also, he is known for closing doors no man open. In the book of Revelation 3:8 “I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.
Rebuild. Rebuild something after it has been damaged or destroyed. “The Lord says, ‘I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts.’” -Joel 2:25
Expected End. In destiny language and its definition, God describes his thoughts about you and what he has planned for you. “For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans of good, not for evil. One of hope and a bright future, an expected end and a chance to succeed.” -Jeremiah 29:11
