That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. -Ephesians 2:12
We are studying the Covenants of Promise tonight as a part of The Blessing An Impartation Bible Study. In the comprehensive version of the study, it could get very long and detailed. The details are no joke. So, as Bible Teacher over twenty years I handle it with care. It’s a special topic I believe Father God wants his people to experience more of the benefits and walk in it and not only that but to be able to train your family and others in this word of righteousness.
There’s always a level of excitement I see in God’s people when we talk about the blessing. I mean, who doesn’t want to be blessed? But there’s a responsibility of knowledge that should be imparted as well. For those who have received much–much is required.
Beholding Jesus In The Bible is devotional I’ve been working on. It is a group of short messages about seeing Jesus through the eyes of the Prophets in the Old Testament then seeing it fulfilled in the New Testament. Traveling through these moments has been building a reality of Christ in our hearts over the moments. It is confirming the immutability of God’s word. We launched Season 4 of the Grace Covenant blog and Podcast with the ‘Immutability of God’s Word’.
I said all that to say — this will not be comprehensive but a condensed version with a high light on the practical tips to activate the blessing.
REVIEW
The Blessing An Impartation, P2
- We are imitators of our Father God in this speaking…
- We all have power in our words… The tongue has the power of life and death… —Proverbs 18:21
- We displease God when we criticize our leaders, authorities and even each other.
- We can transfer a bad attitude to the whole team with our words. So, watch your attitude.
- We can start a fire in our lives and the lives of others with the wrong words.
- We can bless and speak right words over ourselves, our family and the world beyond.
It’s God’s purpose to use our words to change the world for better. For right in the middle of all this word changing we cooperate with God and build the power to bless.
Agree with what God says about the matter and you’ll find the power of God activates. And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. —1 Samuel 3:19
Be careful with your words. Are they good words of life, encouragement and faith building?
Pray & Allow the Holy Spirit to change your bad or slack words to a river of clear, clean words of life for all to enjoy. In doing so, change your life and world forever. Won’t you join me in transforming your life by renewing your words daily?

Immutability of God’s Promises
Hebrews 6:13-20 …Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath
The Apostle Paul talks about the certainty (immutability) of God’s promises, specifically to Abraham the father of faith. Webster defines Immutability as unchanging over time or unable to be changed. “an immutable fact” Similar words: unchangeable, fixed, set, rigid, inflexible, unyielding, unbending
Hebrew 6: Verse 13-20 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself. Saying, surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after patiently enduring, he obtained the promise. And then ‘Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath.
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entered into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
For us the modern day believer, we can know that God’s view toward us through Christ is unchanging. We are co-heirs with Christ of the blessing and benefits of God promises. They are always yes and amen to those who believe. So to get started building your faith about Father God’s immutability in your life, remember it’s an immutable fact that in blessing, He will bless you and in multiplying he will multiply you. He swore to Abraham by Himself (for he had nothing else higher to sware by) We are co-heirs of the promise through Christ. He is our anchor of hope–something we can be sure of in this world and the one to come.
- EDENIC COVENANT
The first covenant made with mankind was the Edenic Covenant in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. Of course, you know the story this covenant was broken resulting in judgment. It was the beginning of the fallen nature of man and his stolen authority. Even there we see the glimmer of hope God has a plan to redeem, called later the Great Salvation Plan. This story of the first Adam in the book of Genesis points to the story of the Last Adam. But first, let’s keep going through the other covenants.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
- ADAMIC COVENANT
Genesis 1-3; Genesis 2:7, 16-19; Genesis 2:5-8 Genesis 1:28 states, “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.
- NOAHIC COVENANT
Genesis 6:9-11
But as for you, be fruitful and multiply; spread out across the earth and multiply upon it. Then God said to Noah and his sons with, Behold, I now establish My covenant with you and your descendants after you.
11And I establish My covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come. - MOSAIC COVENANT
Exodus 19: 1-7; Romans 3:20-24
5Now if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you will be My treasured possession out of all the nations— for the whole earth is Mine. 6And unto Me you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfill.
Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith he Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. - ABRAHAMIC COVENANT
Genesis 12:1-20
Genesis 12:1-3 and 17:1-14, is a foundational agreement between God and Abraham, promising him a great nation, a land (Canaan), and that through him, all families of the earth would be blessed.
In summary, we started with establishing the foundation for the Blessing with pointing fingers to the New Covenant a covenant of blood and the Last Adam. The Edenic and Adamic Covenant were early covenants that were broken and revealed the need for a new and better covenant. Then the Noachic with the beautiful rainbow still seen today, still promises and building on the certainty of God’s promises.
Followed by the Mosaic covenant aka ‘The Law’ with the Ten Commandments along with the foot of the Mountain Experience of the people wanting to hear God for themselves. Then relenting to let Moses and leadership continue to hear and pass to the people. Also, the Aaronic beautiful blessing prayer was introduced. Finally we wrapped up this session the Abrahamic where Abraham is introduced as the father of faith and his grand-son Jacob officially becomes Israel which sets us up for the Davidic kings lineage on through to Christ, the Last Adam.
